Ever notice when you’re hauling horses you always seem to have lots of stuff to bring along? Doesn’t matter if you’re going two miles down the road to a clinic, or two hundred miles to a show.
For this reason, storage space is usually a number one priority for anyone shopping for a horse trailer. Plenty of room for all of your equine’s extraneous equipment is a definite plus.
With this in mind, we thought we’d give you a quick rundown of the various storage options available in Double D horse trailers. From experience, we’ve learned that everyone has different needs, and the trailer models we offer show we’re always trying to address them.
Let’s talk first about Tack-Around.
Tack-Around is Double D’s unique tack and storage compartment built into the rear trailer door. We designed it for two reasons: safety and useful storage space. Swing both rear doors out to the sides of the trailer, which leaves the entire back end open for loading and unloading, which is particularly helpful for those “difficult” loaders. We equipped the Tack-Around compartment with saddle racks and plenty of additional storage space for all that “stuff” you need with horses. Unlike other designs, Tack-Around isn’t collapsible. It’s built right into the door; you can even lock the compartment.
Tack-Around is standard in some of our horse trailers and optional in others.
Below is a list that briefly describes the tack and equipment storage options available in our bumper-pull horse trailers. To learn more about any of these models, just click on the title.
