--Generally, Ford and Chevy trucks do not require a raised neck. However, the Dodge 3/4 ton truck 4WD we do recommend going with the raised neck option. When this occurs, you are eliminating 6" of head area out of your sleeping area so if you are camping, you will need to add the 7'6" option also to maintain adequate head height over the gooseneck area.
