Cargo Trailers
Check out our new addition of Double D Cargo trailers. Available in lengths up to 12' in a single axle, all trailers are built with a steel frame and wrapped with **NO-Rust Galvaneal sheet metal**. These cargo trailers can be used for a variety of purposes--from landscaping, construction to catering or hauling motorcyles. Most competitor cargo trailers use a steel frame with very thin aluminum exterior and plywood reinforcement on the inside. All Double D Cargo trailers use a durable steel frame and 20 gauge Galvaneal wrap with no plywood inside. The 20 ga. metal is lightweight yet durable which prevents from having to use the plywood inside. The result is a more rugged, lighter weight trailer and the tubing rails on the inside are very versatile. You can fasten storage shelves, tie-down hooks, or even put lining on the inside if that is what you want. All single axle cargo trailers come with a 3500# axle with a 4" drop--the drop gets the trailer closer to the ground plus makes it tow better--the 3500# gives greater payload capacities unlike competitor trailers which use a 2500# straight axle. The 15" radial tires provides a smooth ride and less road noise, and don't forget the greaseable spindles on all Double D Trailers. All trailers are finished out with the Double D Exterior finish package which includes gravel guard, D.O.T. tape, lights, trim and pinstripping. Call Brad at Double D for a quote on the trailer that will fit your need. And remember, we will custom build. All Double D Trailers are steamed with a degreaser in order to remove all dirt and oil residue. An application of iron phosphate is applied which opens the pores of the metal. This allows the primer coat we apply to adhere better. Once that process is finished and all roof seams and exterior uprights have been sealed with caulking, the trailer is primed with two coats of automotive grade primer. After allowing adequate drying time, three coats of acrylic enamel paint is applied. If you wish, you may choose the color and pinstripping option. Features & Options:
